SHOP4CF - Pilot Establishment Instrument 1

SHOP4CF (Smart Human Oriented Platform for Connected Factories) is an EU-funded project within the eighth framework program Horizon 2020 that aims to create a unique infrastructure for the convenient deployment of human-centric industrial applications. In the project, 20 partners develop a comprehensive software platform containing a wide range of components that cover a broad spectrum of industrial requirements, especially in the context of modern, flexible, and data-rich manufacturing.

The first call Pilot Establishment Instrument 1 is targeted to system integrators who would like to integrate SHOP4CF solutions to their customer’s manufacturing environment. Note that at least one partner must be an SME. In this tandem, the integrator (first partner) is in charge of implementing the solution on the production side of the manufacturing company (second partner). The goal is to establish pilots by combining modular SHOP4CF components. The pilots are supposed to integrate both pre-existing components, developed by the SHOP4CF consortium and new components, developed by the applicants. Please note that the industrial relevance of the use case as well as the technical readiness will be important metrics in the selection of proposals.

SHOP4CF is looking for six projects to be funded; each project receives a lump sum of €100K (equity-free) for covering the personnel expenses and costs of travel (including accommodation) and consumables. Proposals must show a high degree of feasibility, i.e. it should be possible to fully implement the solution within eight months (from 1 November 2021 until the end of June 2022).
